Buckmore Junior Club Championship Series

The Buckmore Junior Club organises two championships a year. The summer series features seven rounds of which the best fives scores will count. This allows for an occasional missed round or to drop a particularly disappointing result.

Everything you need is included. Racesuit, crash helmet, gloves, rib protector and even a wet suit if needed. Of course the kart is included too, in fact a 160cc Sodi teen kart.

Although these are run as championships with superb series trophies on offer each is an open stand alone race with trophies to the top three at each event. One off entries are very welcome but it should be noted that the junior club sells out very quickly and places are always sold on a first come, first served basis.

All potential drivers must have completed basic introductory cadet training at the Sisley Kart School (or similar and approved elsewhere) and must join the Junior Club.

New! Junior Club races now include an Intermediate Class.
Intermediate drivers are current Rookie drivers who wish to try a few Junior Club races during their first racing year. They will race together with the regular club members and will earn points in the normal way. At the end of the meeting the top three Intermediate drivers will be awarded their own trophies in class order. This means that if the top Intermediate driver on the day finished fourth in the B final they would still be the top Intermediate and would receive a first in class award. Only regularly competeing Rookies are eligble to enter as Intermediate class drivers. Please read the full rules and criteria here. link to more information

Each round consists of a short three lap practice followed by three point scoring heats for each driver. Each driver will then race in a final based on the points achieved in the heats. Drivers then winning a lesser final are promoted to the back row of the next final so that one poor result need not preclude a driver from success in the finals.

All the results, including full lap times are displayed on the website and accompanied by a full race report and photographs. Races normally take place on our National Circuit but the last round of the summer series is held on the full International Circuit.

The format is designed to be as close to the MSA owner/driver format as possible to allow Junior Club 'graduates' to easily assimilate themselves into full MSA racing.

No licence of any kind is needed, just your club membership. Simply turn up, sign in, attend the safety briefing and then enjoy your racing. Spectators are more than welcome and get spectacular views of the National Circuit from the Clubhouse balcony or from the ground floor viewing area.
