The First time introductory session is for new pupils only and takes aproximately one and a half hours. A safety briefing and track walk is followed by two timed sessions in a small group. Participants receive individual driving analysis sheets and a certificate. The kart, helmet, race suit, gloves, rib protector and neck collar are all provided, as is use of the National circuit. Introductory sessions are arranged on specific dates, separate from the main school days. The karts used are the 160cc four stroke Sodi karts as used in our Junior Club.
The Introductory lesson is designed as a taster towards more personalised training at our full cadet lessons. (see right).
These sessions are the minimum qualification required for the driver to join the Junior Club. Should an instructor feel that a driver is not yet ready to join the club he will advise the youngster as well as their parent/guardian that further training is necessary to reach a safe and competitive standard.
