February brings with it a half term holiday so we have plenty of news for our young drivers this month. Read on to discover all the action taking place over the month. Follow the links for the full stories…

Half Term Holiday — Day-by-Day Diary of events.

As usual we have organised something for everyone. Turn Up ‘n’ Drive sessions for all ages from 4-16 years, Bambino School, Bambino Club, Kart School lessons, Rookie Racing, Junior Club, Go Driver car training and an ARKS test.

New! Laser Warfare Parties — Now available from age 8 years

Laser warfare games in the woodland adjacent to the circuit have proved very popular with older children since we introduced the activity a few years ago. We have now extended the range to include the 8-11’s as well as the 12-16’s. You can enjoy Laser Warfare as a ‘stand-alone’ activity or add it to a karting party to make the day very special. The SWS — A World Championship for Junior Drivers!

The Sodi World Series (SWS) is a world championship for hire kart drivers. Circuits throughout the world arrange a series of qualifying rounds in which points are scored. The accrued points form an International Ranking and the top drivers in the rankings will be invited to the Sodi World Championships which will be held in Europe in the summer of 2013. The eligible age range is 8-14 years.

We have made all of the Junior Club races from March to December into qualifying rounds and at no extra cost above the usual race entry fee. This is the third year of the SWS World Series and so for we have achieved a World Champion, Piers Prior in 2010, and a Runner-Up Luke Battersby in 2010! Will it be you in 2012?

Junior Club Summer Championship starts in March

Yes, this is the February newsletter but with the start of the 2012 Championship just a few weeks away, now is the time to book your entry for the first round. With all the extra interest that the SWS (see above) is likely to generate, places are sure to fill very quickly.

The ARKS Test — The first step to a Kart Race Licence.

If you are planning on taking the step from hire karting to owning and racing your own kart, you will need a race licence. The ARKS test is the kart equivalent of a road driving test in that it is part theory, part driving skills and successful completion will result in a licence to drive, or race in this case.

The next ARKS test is on Tuesday the 14th February.

Go Driver — Car training for drivers under 17

Go-Driver is an under 17 road driver training scheme run in conjunction with 'Go Driver Training', a professional driving school. It takes place in the large tarmac paddock adjacent to the Kids Mini GP Circuit.

We have added a few extra lessons during the half term but prompt booking is essential to avoid disappointment. Get all of the details by clicking the button.

Karting Zone — Your guide to all activities for ages 4-16 years

Last month we launched a brand new issue of our popular Karting Zone booklet. This lists all of our activities for youngsters aged between four and sixteen. It includes Turn up ‘n’ Go dates, Bambino, Rookie and Junior events, party options and a whole lot more.
